Dave Bautista accidentally revealed a spoiler about 'Avengers 4' in the best way
Tell it like it is, Dave
Do we still even need to say this? Is it absolutely your fault if you haven’t seen Avengers: Infinity War yet? Yes, it absolutely is, but this is most likely required by law, so: spoilers ahead
Dave Bautista as Drax is clearly one of the best things about the MCU - he is consistently hilarious and brilliant in every scene, and the cinematic universe wouldn’t be the same without him.
So when he flipping well got bumped off at the end of Infinity War, people were rightly irked. What were they to do without perhaps the greatest character in the whole franchise? Their lives had been irreversibly affected and they would never be the same again.
Or not, as Dave has finally revealed exactly what all people with even a hint of common sense were thinking all along.
During a press tour for his latest movie Hotel Artemis, he spoke to Collider about his death in Avengers, and then presumably channelled Drax, and let out a fantastically literal spoiler:
“I got a lot of texts saying, ‘I can’t believe you’re dead, your character is dead.
“They were really like heartbroken and I was like ‘I’m gonna be in [Avengers 4]. I’m gonna be in Guardians 3.’
“I don’t know how they’re bringing me back, yeah but somehow I’m going to make it because, as far as I know, I am going to be in Guardians 3, so I have to be back.”
Yep, knew it all along - of course nobody actually died at the end of Infinity War. You think they’re killing off Spider-Man? SPIDER, THE MAN? Highly doubt that.
Anyway, here’s Davey Boy, chatting about that and other things in a lovely little video for you to watch and/or listen to, depending on your sense preferences:
