Long mooted as a worthy contender to traditional jeans, the one thing chinos have never had over their denim cousin is the flattering fit and ‘worn-in’ effect.
Until now, that is. Dockers — the original and, to our mind, best khaki-maker — has addressed both of these issues with the Alpha Khaki: a casual trouser branding itself as “where jeans end and khakis begin”. The athletic fit is more forgiving on the behind and available in a range of colours and three washes, from one-year (‘Scraped’) to five (‘Dirty’) and 10 years (‘Destroyed’, pictured).
