Now that the warm weather has sadly dissipated, we can at least rest assured in a pretty constant stream of Oscar-worthy films to get us through the miserable weather.
One of the current frontrunners, thanks to almost universal acclaim on the festival circuit, is the latest film from Mike Leigh, which is set to nab its lead star Timothy Spall a much-deserved Best Actor nomination.
In Mr. Turner, Spall stars as British artist J. M. W. Turner (get the title now?) whose life, if you care to spend the afternoon on Wikipedia, is ripe for dramatisation.
We've got our hands on an exclusive clip of one of the film's key scenes where Turner attempts to paint a snowstorm by strapping himself to the mast of a ship. Art students, take note.
