If anyone is truly deserving of the title of 'artist', it's the mercurial talent that is Joseph Arthur.
Originally discovered by Peter Gabriel, and subsequently signed to his Real World record label, he quickly established a reputation as a formidable and prolific talent, especially live, where he was pioneering the use of loop pedals and layered vocals years before Ed Sheeran and the rest picked up on it.
The Grammy award winner returns for his tenth record, with a double CD, two 'act' concept album loosely based on his life so far, entitled The Ballad of Boogie Christ. Act 1 was released earlier this year, but Act 2 is brand new and will be available in full on 9th September.
We have one of the tracks exclusively for you to listen to; entitled Junkies and Limousines it's a classic Arthur track, with a delicate introduction giving way to a Dylan-esque second half - but don't take our word for it, have a listen below.
