Robbie is back into the swing of things with his new album and we've got an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of Robbie and his backing band in action.
After performing the jazz standard Minnie The Moocher on his solo Take The Crown Stadium Tour this summer, it's made it onto the tracklisting for his new record, Swings Both Ways.
Robbie spoke exclusively to us, saying: "My act consists of pickpocketing so many people that have gone before me, and I was so pleased to have watched a few Cab Calloway videos before my tour this summer. And this song is the perfect epitome of what I want my whole show to be like - the call and response in this is probably the epitome of perfection when it comes to a tool and a device to have that connection with the people who’ve come to see you. It’s a heavy tune as well – she’s doing opium with some Chinamen, she’s a bit of a fallen woman, she’s a bit of a gold digger. I love singing it every night "
Watch Robbie and his fantastic fellow musicians in action on the video below, as they record the track at the famous Abbey Road studios in London.
