The officially licensed product is currently listed on Merchoid, which gives the game the following description:
"Delve into the evolving city of Midgar in search of the latest business opportunities. Perhaps you’ll buy up a string of plots for housing development for the people, or go industrial and build a Mako reactor plant."
We didn't realise that one of the greatest role-playing games of all time had so much in common with a board game version of capitalism, but there you go.
There's no word on which characters will make the cut, though apparently Cloud, Sephiroth and Aaerith are all a sure bet. It'll cost you £34.99 and arrive on 14 April 2017.
We've contacted Monopoly to see if we can get a ShortList version in the works. They've ignored our emails so far, but it's only a matter of time...
