Bewildered Californians are trying to pick up the pieces after wildfires tore through their state in the past few weeks – and authorities still aren’t totally sure when they’ll be able to stop the flames.
At least 77 people have died in the devastating wildfires, and more than 1,000 remain missing.
And when you’re trying to deal with your livelihood going up in flames, who springs to mind as a perfect house guest? Why not beloved US President Donald Trump!
The president visited the Golden State this weekend and, surprising absolutely no-one, he made some deeply bizarre comments.
“I was with the President of Finland and he said we have - much different - we are a forest nation. He called it a forest nation,” Trump said, according to CNN. “And they spend a lot of time on raking and cleaning and doing things, and they don’t have any problem. And when it is, it’s a very small problem. So I know everybody’s looking at that to that end.”
Say whaaaaa??? RAKING?!
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö quickly confirmed that he’d told Trump no such thing – and now the Finns have come out in force to expertly troll the US leader.
