No, Ewan McGregor hasn't been wandering the deserts of Tatooine again.
This is the first promotional shot for the 42-year-old's upcoming role in the film Last Days in the Desert - yet another passenger on the Biblical bandwagon currently crusading its way through Hollywood.
Directed by Rodrigo García (Blue, Nine Lives), the Last Days' sees McGregor portray both Jesus and the Devil in an "imagined chapter" from the forty days of fasting and praying in the desert that the New Testament narratives see Jesus undertake after his baptism.
In Gracía's version of the events, Jesus is on his way out of the wilderness, struggling with the Devil over the fate of "a family in crisis, setting for himself a dramatic test". Depending on how closely García is sticking to the Biblical story, we're expecting to see McGregor feud with himself over food, power and questions of identity.
Recently announced as one of the titles to premiere at 2015's Sundance film festival, the above image offers the first glimpse of McGregor as - we would assume - the Son of God. With blue eyes, stubble and brown flowing locks, his Jesus would appear to be from the Jeffrey Hunter/Henry Ian Cusick/Jim Caviezel line of Biblical portrayals (as in, not very Jewish).
Ciarán Hinds, Ayelet Zurer and Tye Sheridan also star in the film, which will screen during Sundance's 2015 schedule, between 22 January and 1 February.
