Holidays are the best, but do you know what’s the worst? Travelling. Travelling is the worst.

Long lines at security, screaming kids in the seat behind you and expensive bags of nuts are almost enough to make you want to just forgo the whole damn trip. Is the UK really that bad? Okay, we agree, it is that bad. We need sun.

Now travel site Expedia has conducted a survey to find out what annoys people the most about travelling.

“Whether you’ve been on one vacation or 100, you’ve likely experienced some form of annoying behavior while traveling,” says Nisreene Atassi from Expedia.

These are the most annoying things people do on planes:

1. People kicking, bumping and grabbing your seat (51%)

2. Smelly passengers (43%)

3. Parents not controlling their kids (39%)

4. Personal space violators (34%)

5. Loud passengers (29%)

For the fourth year in a row, more than half of global respondents identified the passenger who constantly kicks, grabs or bumps their seat as the most annoying. With the average amount of legroom decreasing on some airline carriers to accommodate more seats, this behavior is likely to remain one of the most common and most hated.
