You think one of two things when you hear the word Fortnite, and they are:
“OH MY GOD FORTNITE I LOVE FORTNITE I WANT TO MARRY IT”
or
“whur”
You see, Fortnite is a massive, ridiculous, out-of-control gaming behemoth that is taking over the minds of many, leaving the others in complete confusion. But if you’re one of the fans, and you’ve also got an Android phone, then you’re going to want to be getting involved with the mobile version.
iPhone and iPad users already have access to the game (where it’s already exceeded 40 million players, natch), but it’s been a long time coming for Android fans. Until now, anyway, with Epic Games officially stating:
“We are targeting this summer for the release. We know many of you are excited for this release, and we promise that when we have more information to share, you’ll hear it from us first.”
So not exactly pinpointed to the exact day, hour or minute, but it’s better than nothing.
They also revealed what to expect from the port, including a shiny new feature:
“We’re working on integrating a mobile voice chat that would allow you to communicate with your teammates, regardless of their platform.”
Voice chat? That’s even more reason to never actually talk to a real human face-to-face ever again! Just draw those curtains, load up Fortnite, and play. Play forever until the end of the world.
