Go directly to the Wall. Do not pass GO. Do not collect 200 Gold Dragons.
In an announcement of "You mean they hadn't already done that?" proportions, HBO has released details of a new edition of Monopoly based around the war-torn world of Game of Thrones.
"Vie to hold dominion over the realms of men in the Game of Thrones Collector’s Edition of Monopoly," declares the HBO release. "Featuring infamous locations from the original dramatic television series, including Castle Black, Winterfell and King’s Landing, players will buy, sell and trade their way to sit atop the Iron Throne."
Villages and Castles replace traditional houses and hotels, while the iconic properties of London make way for locations from George R R Martin's books: stations are swapped for house Lanister, Baratheon, Targaryen and Stark, the poor hovel of Craster's Keep one of the cheapest properties on the board, with Casterly Rock one of the most costly. As to whether fights over unpaid taxes will result in all out war and murder is yet to be seen.
Expect this slice of Westeros-themed merriment to arrive on the HBO web store later this year.
