Get a Jet Fighter Cockpit In Your Living Room

We remember the days when a steering wheel was the height of immersive gaming.

But this new kickstarter project promises to take things to a whole new level, by offering you the chance to have your very own jet fighter cockpit in your living room. A company called Dogfight Boss has designed a self-assembly kit which enables you to become a true top gun in your own home.

It's made out of cardboard, is easy to assemble and disassemble and requires no glue, just a sharp knife. It's fully customisable, to accomodate any extra gadgets you might have and it works with any projecting solution for your flight sims and games; be that multiple screens, projectors, or full-on Oculus Rift.

And it's extremely reasonably priced too: a pdf self-print version will set you back just £49, while £299 gets you the full, ready-to-go model. Smaller child-friendly sizes are also available but, let's face it, you'll be pushing your kids out of the way to have a go on this.

Then you just need the pilot outfit, helmet and aviators and you're good to finally live out those Tom Cruise dreams.
