Get free spooky ice cream, thanks to Ardbeg and its monstrous ‘ice scream’ truck
Ardbeg Committee Members are in for a spook-taculer treat this October
With the spooky season well and truly upon us, we have the ultimate (trick or) treat for fans of horror, whisky and… ice cream!
Whisky giants Ardbeg are celebrating Halloween in style this year, all thanks to their brand-new ‘ice scream’ truck. The monstrous truck - complete with horns, tentacles and beady eyes - took three months and 12 people to make, and will be a must-see when it visits London, Glasgow and Edinburgh this October.
The truck will be packed with ice creams that have been devised together with world-famous ice cream parlour, Ruby Violet. As Ardbeg is known for its brilliant peaty taste, each ice cream will have a scintillating smoky twist, infused with three of Ardbeg’s smokiest single malts: Ardbeg Ten Years Old, An Oa and Wee Beastie.
The good news is that if you are an Ardbeg Committee Member, then you will be able to get an ice cream completely for free!
If you’re not already in the Committee, then don’t worry - it’s simple to join. All you have to do is head to Ardbeg’s official site now, and follow the details to register. You need to join before the 21st of October to receive your free ‘ice scream’ code.
But it’s not all about the ice cream. When you become part of the Committee, you will get access to Committee-only bottlings, invites to VIP events, exclusive news straight from Ardbeg’s distillery and access to some fantastic competitions.
As for the ice creams on offer through Ardbeg’s ‘ice scream’ truck, the following ice-cold treats are certain to send a shiver down your spine:
- Cookies & Scream: Ardbeg Wee Beastie ice cream sandwiched between charcoal cookies, coated in (optional) crunchy mealworms
- Ahhh, No! Bar: Lapsang Souchong ice cream with an Ardbeg An Oa caramel centre coated in white chocolate
- Ice Cream Groan: charcoal cone, filled with Ardbeg Ten smoky blackcurrant ice cream, topped with sour cherries and a brittle insect-flecked shard
Ardbeg’s monstrous truck is heading to Covent Garden Piazza, London on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th October at; Friday 29th October it will be at Drygate Brewery, Glasgow; on Saturday 30th October at St James Quarter, Edinburgh; and Sunday 31st October at Castle Street, Edinburgh.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s something for cocktail fans, too. Alongside the ‘ice scream’ truck will be a custom-made pop-up Monsters of Smoke parlour, where squeamishly smoky cocktails await. This is £10 per person and you can book through Ardbeg’s official site.
Finally, remember the free ice cream treats are only available to Ardbeg Committee Members, so book your tickets here!
