So the leaked line-up wasn’t exactly mega accurate was it?
The official Glastonbury line-up has been announced, and it’s looking like a bit of a belter.
We’re possibly being harsh on the leaked version – they did get several big calls right, including Ed Sheeran being the third headliner alongside Radiohead and Foo Fighters (announced a few weeks ago), Bee Gee Barry Gibb taking the Sunday legends slot, Lorde making her Glastonbury debut (again, confirmed by her a few weeks back) and Wiley, Stormzy and Boy Better Know bringing grime to Worthy Farm. However, lots of the other predictions have not (yet) come to pass.
The other big news: pop queen Katy Perry is playing, while there will be a sturdy rock presence in the form of Biffy Clyro, The National and Royal Blood.
Elsewhere, little-known singer Emeli Sande will get some welcome exposure, Phoenix and Justice bring the French, Chic will bring the party, Shaggy will bring the reggae and Kris Kristofferson will bring the country. Of course, this isn’t the full line-up, with hundreds more acts to be announced to fill out all of the stages.
The line-up is below, all told it looks like a pretty strong year with something for everyone. Get your wellies ready and we’ll see you in the mud.
