You can stop perfecting your Bane impressions now. Tom Hardy is back - with a newer, slightly less muffled dialect, and he’s starring in one of the most unconventional films you’ll likely lay eyes on this year.
Locke follows Hardy’s titular Ivan Locke, a family man on the brink of career glory. After a single phone call jeopardises everything he holds dear, Locke sets off on a nerve-mincing 90 minute car journey where he has to simultaneously deal with the unfolding crisis.
And as you can see from the first trailer, below, there's no spoiler with us informing you that all the action takes place in a car, thus thrusting all the physical acting responsibility on Hardy’s weighty, capable shoulders, and, given that we've already seen the film, we can confirm his brilliance.
We were going to crack wise about the film being a 'Tom Hardy vehicle', but we’re much, much better than that…
Locke is out in UK cinemas from 18 April
