Prepare to get up close and personal with Grand Theft Auto like never before.
When the remastered edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 arrives on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 18 November (and when it finally crawls onto PC next year), the most famous third-person video game of all time will give players the opportunity to drop the distinctive over-the-shoulder world view the series has preferred ever since it switched from the classic bird's eye madness of the '90s.
But this isn't just a camera trick. Speaking to IGN, Rockstar's animation director Rob Nelson said that a raft of new controls to help this FPS mode feel more natural. "Available in both GTAV and GTA Online, we've made a host of changes to accommodate this new perspective, including the creation of an optional first person cover system, a new targeting system, a more traditional FPS control scheme, and integrating thousands of new animations into the existing game."
As the following gameplay video demonstrates, the action looks that little bit more intense from inside the head of your character. We can't wait to get intimate with the anarchy.
