Happy Cheester! Sainsbury's is stocking a cheese Easter Egg
Any excuse for an Easter Sunday cheeseboard is fine by us.
We all love gorging at Easter, and it’s fair to say that most of us in the days after Easter Sunday won’t ever want to see a bar of chocolate for at least six months.
But what if you could vary your greed and have a cheese board instead of endless Easter Eggs? What if you could combine the two? Of course, it’s 2019, so you can do both. Sainsbury’s have announced that they will be stocking an entirely cheese Easter egg by Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses.
Priced at £5, the Cheesalicious Easter Egg (to give it it’s formal name), is made from the finest Lancashire milk and comes with chutney and oat cakes to spread the egg onto. It can’t get feta than that if you love cheese, can it?
The Easter novelty egg race is hotting up this year, with Waitrose announcing they are bringing back their avocado shaped egg for the second year in a row, seemingly to appease millennials and annoy their parents, facilitating an Easter weekend argument.
The egg will be available from 10th April at Sainsbury’s stores national wide. We’re brie-rly eggcited about it!
