You can practically hear the "Violent VR Games Cause Children To Become Murderers" columns being drafted as we type.
This (admittedly blurry) footage shows Grand Theft Auto V up and running an immersive Oculus Rift virtual reality headset - and it looks incredible.
The clip has been created by an early VR adopter, YouTuber Falandorn, with the help of a computer program called vorpX that converts regular mouse-and-keyboard games to VR-enabled experiences.
The five-minute sequence sees Faladorn roam the streets of Los Santos on a motorbike, using the game's first-person perspective. While the clip does a great job of showing off just how ripe titles like GTA V are for VR, it doesn't highlight the potential intensity of all-out, Clockwork Orange-themed carnage the game is renowned for. Will kicking in the heads of random pedestrians gain an (even more) uncomfortable edge when seen through the eyes of your character? Will you want to put a baseball bat through a foe's skull when things look this real?
