Here's your first look at Matthew McConaughey in The Dark Tower
The Man In Black lives up to his name
Stephen King fans everywhere are pretty happy right now, thanks to the ongoing progress of The Dark Tower after many years of delays, abandoned projects and personnel changes: whisper it guys, but we think the film is actually going to come out - and it's actually looking really good.
After we caught our first glimpse of Idris Elba on set as Roland Deschain, aka the gunslinger, in May, we've now got the first photos of Matthew McConaughey as his mystical foe Randall Flagg: The Man in Black.
And he lives up to his name, with the Dallas Buyers Club star dyeing his hair a jet black for the role, while wearing a black shirt, trousers, shoes, waistcoat and a long dark coat. The images were taken during filming in New York yesterday - take a look at them below.
Nikolaj Arcel is directing, with Tom Taylor, Jackie Earle Haley, Fran Kranz, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Michael Barbieri and Claudia Kim also confirmed to star.
The Dark Tower will be in cinemas 17 February 2017
