House from Groundhog Day up for sale

Sonny and Cher blaring out on the radio; a subterranean puddle; a cackling Ned Ryerson; Punxsutawney Phil - this sound familiar?

Should you be nodding in agreement, you're thinking of 1993’s Groundhog Day, and, more specifically, the daily ritual of Bill Murray's acerbic weatherman as he keeps reliving the same day over and over (and over) in the sleepy town of Punxsutawney, Philadelphia.

Well prepare to have Déjà vu once again: the memorable lodgings from the film (actually situated at 344 Fremont St, Woodstock, Illonois, as it happens) are now up for sale. Boasting eight bedrooms and nine bathroom across 5,815-square-ft, the faithfully-restored 1895 mansion will set any respective buyer back some £605,000.

So whether you're in the market for a piece of film history, fancy waking up every day in the same bedroom (forever) as Bill did, or are simply hoping to start a bed-and-breakfast empire, it could be worth an investment. Just watch out for that first step - it’s a doozy.
