Christmas has come early. And it's not white.
To celebrate its 20th Anniversary (and make us all feel incredibly old in the process), PlayStation revealed a limited edition version of its PlayStation 4 in the grey hues of the original console of 1994. And now, they're teasing us with some details on how to our hands on one of the 12,300 bundles.
On 10th December, a 1994-styled pop up store will be opening at 11am in London, packed with retro memorabilia, PS-themed clothes and 94 of the PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition consoles available for the special price of £19.94. Considering that some of the consoles have sold on eBay for over £12,000 ($20,000) in the US, that's a pretty big deal.
In order to qualify for buying one of the consoles, you'll need to prove yourself worthy. Potential purchasers must have an item of PlayStation memorabilia (an old game or game pad) and the pass phrase "I crashed my Bandicoot!". Unfortunately, all of the special priced consoles have now been snapped up, with wristbands already being handed out for the special consoles due to go on sale on the 11th December. The store will be open until the 12th December, but don't expect the limited edition consoles to hang around - there will only be 50 available to buy each day.
And the best way to find the store? Head to 133 Bethnal Green Road and look for the following queue...
