I don’t want to write this article, because I don’t want anyone else to know about HQ Trivia - too many people already play it and it’s ruining it for me. In case you didn’t know, it’s a quiz app that enables you to win actual, real, literal money if you get a simple 12 questions right. It’s all done in real time too, so it’s very hard to cheat. It is great. I have never won any money on it.
But hey, there’s not much I can do about it, is there? Its popularity is getting out of control, and the more people playing, the less money you win (or don’t win, in my case). But the proof is in the pudding - HQ has started a new social network. Essentially, ‘Friends on HQ’ will enable you to find your mates on the app, and track their progress, creating a healthy, but also potentially very unhealthy, amount of competition between you and them.
To access the network, simply swipe the video to the right during a game and you’ll be able to see which of your friends are playing and whether they’ve been knocked out yet. You can also click on a player and see how many games they’ve played, if they’ve won or not and a score table which will show their biggest winning streak. Supposedly they’re rolling out a ‘surprise’ next week too, but I’ve no idea what that could entail - fingers crossed it’s £2000 wired immediately to my PayPal account.
Of course, this is all a terrible idea and you definitely shouldn’t download the app. Also, if you already have it, delete it please. It is a bad app and nobody should have it - the fewer the better, in my opinion. Yes, I will continue to keep it and play it every single day because it’s the best thing ever, but you should get rid of it.
LAST ONE TO DELETE IT IS A ROTTEN EGG!
