We're pretty sceptical when it comes to self-fulfilling prophecies. For instance, we're sure Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (the chap who plays Ser Gregor Clegane in Game of Thrones) would have been a world strongman even if he didn't have a name meaning "Son of a bear". Likewise, Rezvani Motors' latest supercar would still be incredible if it were called 'Car II' or 'Eric'. As it is, it's called 'Beast'.
An aggressive collection of pointy lines and aggressive air intakes, the Beast 500 is a carbon fibre monster with an eye-watering list of vital statistics. A 2.4-litre supercharged engine churns out 500 horsepower, catapulting its 704kg frame from 0 to 60mph in 2.7 seconds.
Conceived by the renowned sportscar designer Samir Sadikhov (check out his visions of the Aston Martin DBC and Ferrari Xerzi concepts for an idea of how he works), the Beast seems destined to adorn teenage bedroom walls and ex-rockstar's garages. With each car taking an estimated 1,000 – 1,500 man-hours to make, you can forgive (or at least understand) the £82,000 price tag.
The good news is, the first two will be sold for a wallet-friendly sum of £73,500. Anyone fancy going halves?
