The French Connection. While undeniably synonymous with high street excellence nowadays, the term was originally coined to reference the murky international drugs ring which ran between Marseille and New York in the ‘70s.
And you don't have to be a criminal mastermind to know which of these sets the scene for stylish new thriller The Connection. Starring Jean Dujardin (The Artist) as the young police magistrate who decides to take a stand and clean up the city that he and his family have newly arrived in, leading to collision course with the Mafia and feared godfather Gaëtan Zampa (Mesrine’s Gilles Lellouche).
