Most of us would love to spend a year travelling the world: seeing new places; meeting new people; soaking up new culture. Who wouldn’t be tempted to jack in their day job and hit the road?
The only problem? We can’t afford it.
Which is where Royal Caribbean comes in.

The travel company is looking for a ‘Shore Explorer’ – someone, in other words, who’ll go on an all expenses paid tour of the world’s most beautiful locations.
Other experiences include white water rafting, a zip wire, visiting a glacier and seeing numerous cities across the world. All that, AND you’ll be earning the equivalent of £2,000 a week – not bad, in our view. Not bad.
The job role is pretty appealing, too – all you have to do is upload a photograph of your travels on Instagram every day.
“We’re looking for an adrenaline junkie who is not only hungry for adventure, but also has a unique ability to capture a moment and tell a story in a simple social media post,” said a spokesperson for the company.
“We already offer a huge amount of incredible, once-in-a-lifetime, on-land experiences as part of our cruise holidays – from zip wires and white water rafting, to walking on glaciers and hot air balloon rides. By launching this position, we’re hoping that the winning candidate will take our shore excursion programme to the next level.”
Want to apply? Of course you do.
All you need to do is share a travel experience on Instagram, tagging #ShoreExplorer and @RoyalCaribbeanUK. Entrants have to be 21 or older and, fairly obviously, be able to travel this year and have a valid passport. Good luck!
