When it comes to the Bond rumour mill, we've learnt to be suspicious of what we hear until it's directly confirmed but news has just been leaked that French actress Léa Seydoux has joined the next 007 adventure as a femme fatale.
Anyone who can remember her brief, but memorable, role in Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol can vouch for her skills at playing devious while her recent turn in the acclaimed drama Blue Is The Warmest Colour shows she has remarkable range.
According to The Daily Mail, Seydoux will meet the rest of the cast, which includes returning actors Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes, for a table reading in late November before director Sam Mendes can perfect her "look". The actress had been vaguely linked with the film before but this is being touted as a confirmation.
Little is known about the next Bond movie, with various rumours suggesting that Rihanna could be making a cameo and, gulp, Sam Smith could be singing the theme tune.
Bond 24 will hit cinemas October 23
