Jeremy Clarkson reveals the logo for The Grand Tour
"As there is very little going on at the moment, I thought you'd like to see our new Grand Tour logo"
Now, we realise in the grand scheme of things and given current events, the logo for a new car show isn't exactly major news but hey, we need something to cheer us up and, after the travails of the new-look Top Gear, car enthusiasts will be desperately hoping the new effort from Clarkson, Hammond and May will be a success.
In the latest piece of dripfed information, Clarkson revealed the logo for The Grand Tour, the trio's new show coming this Autumn on Amazon Prime, via Twitter.
And here it is.
It's alright isn't it?
Some fans were happy:
Some weren't.
While others got creative.
Hard to argue with this:
The new show is expected to have 12 episodes and will air from an as-yet-unknown date in the autumn. Clarkson had previously explained the logic behind the name, saying “Thing is, we’ll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country, from a giant tent. It’s a sort of ‘grand tour’, if you like. So we’ve decided to call it The Grand Tour.”
The last few months will only have increased the trio's ego, as the BBC's revamped Top Gear has struggled for ratings, with reports of walkout threats from Matt LeBlanc and accusations of a lack of chemistry between the many hosts. However, the last episode did finally see an upturn in overnight ratings.
