Before he unleashes hell on the CIA in the upcoming Bourne reboot, Jeremy Renner looks like he's going to sign on to play another authority-hater in the biopic of Julian Assange.
The Oscar-nominated star of The Hurt Locker and The Avengers is apparently eyeing up a role in the film which comes from Dreamworks, who bought up the rights to two books based on the WikiLeaks scandal.
It's early days but the studio is also talking to Bill Condon, director of Chicago and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, about helming the project.
Renner's first blockbuster lead in The Bourne Legacy opens next month and he's also got Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters alongside Gemma Arterton out next year.
What do you think of the proposed casting? Good fit?
