Never mind a dinosaur park - now we're going to have a dinosaur world.
The long-awaited fourth instalment of everyone's favourite dinofranchise has a brand new title, and a new release date.
Universal have announced that Jurassic World is scheduled for release on June 12th 2015 and will be made in 3D as well as standard 2D. The new logo has also been unveiled, as you can see. Colin Trevorrow will direct, with the script being written by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly. In addition, Steven Spielberg will be returning to produce.
Trevorrow has previously stated that he wants to make a great film, saying “it’s important to make a movie for the fans, but I also have to remember that there’s a lot of people who couldn’t care less, and need for me to make a solid case for why the hell there’s a Jurassic Park IV in the first place."
In addition, he's also said that a "pretty badass" new dinosaur will be making an appearance. Amazing.
We know it's nearly two years away, but we can already hear those distant footsteps getting closer...
