Do you know what a growler is? No, this is not a crude crash course in sex education. A growler is a vessel that carries 1,892.7ml of beer. It’s the bottle of choice for most microbrew beer geeks right now.
However, what do you do if you can’t manage a whole growler – or any beer, for that matter? Stick it back in the fridge where it will almost certainly go flat before you can finish it?
Well, a Kickstarter project is here to solve that quandary.
uKeg, which has nearly all of its $75,000 goal with nearly two months to go, will keep your open beer fresh for up to a month.
It looks cool, too, with brass handles, a CO2 regulator cap, pressure gauge and tap handle that all add up to something resembling a steampunk milk churn.
Speaking of milk, you may need to clear some of that out if you’re going to fit it in your fridge.
uKegs start at $99 (£62).
