Even though it's only the end of May, we've already seen most of the summer's blockbusters with only a few more to trickle through. But there's hope for those looking for films with more substance with the autumnal months offering a selection of more serious dramas as ever.
Here's one which hadn't really been on our radar until now but we're firmly sitting in the excited camp and not moving until we get to see it.
Kill The Messenger sees Jeremy Renner putting his bow down to play journalist Gary Webb, who uncovered a dangerous conspiracy between the CIA and crack cocaine dealers in the 90s. It's a true story and one which has a deeply unhappy ending. You can spoil it for yourself on Wikipedia if you like.
The trailer looks like smart, Oscar-worthy stuff and Renner is supported by Michael K Williams, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosemarie DeWitt and Andy Garcia.
Kill The Messenger hits cinemas on November 28
