KITH NYC tease new football collab with adidas that is too nice to play in
They'll be nice and safe at home
New York tastemakers KITH have teased a lil’ collab with adidas Football that is, typically, much too nice to ever actually play football in.
KITH honcho Ronnie Fieg took to Instagram earlier this week to praise Florencia Galarza who brought “soccer” to the team:
Fieg said: “This is Florencia Galarza, the captain of the Kith Cobras, as well as a close friend of mine. She approached me 2 years ago with the opportunity to have Kith support a soccer club in New York's Bowery Premier League. After a few passionate conversations with her I realized it was a good opportunity for Kith to enter into the world of soccer. We created our own jerseys for the squad, which they wore when they'd go onto win their first championship the next year. After this Flo and I had a few more discussions about the possibility of perhaps doing something even larger. We knew that if Kith was to create a full soccer collection that it would have to be with the sport's global leader, so we partnered with adidas to innovate top tier soccer product that could translate from the pitch to the street. Over the course of the next year I fell in love with the product so much that we wound up making not 1, but 2 collections. I can't wait to finally share the fruits of our labor. Kith x adidas Soccer. Soon come.”
And now, that “soon come” is that little bit sooner, with a tease of pastel training wear and those absolutely killer as-yet-unnamed ACE16+ Ultra BOOST-style shoes. Oh, man. Hope we get a chance to fuck these up.
