For anyone who still can't get enough of superhero stories - and there's a fair few of them planned up to 2020 - there's good news: there are plans afoot to create a pre-Superman TV show, entitled Krypton.
The move comes following the success of the pre-Batman series Gotham - another DC Comics show - and is set to have Man of Steel screenwriter David Goyer involved. That film featured the planet in its opening sequences, so there's the potential for the show to be directly tied into the movie universe.
Bleeding Cool is speculating that it will be a drama set on his home planet, possibly involving the House of El or Brainiac. Goyer has previously had screenwriting credits for the Blade trilogy, Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy as well as Man of Steel, amongst many others, thus bringing some heavyweight talent to the project. No details are yet forthcoming for any other people involved, however, nor any potential filming or release schedule.
