Favourite sad song
"I might not get cool points for this but a song like Elton John’s Your Song still gets me. My parents would play it a lot when I was a kid in the 80s and I remember just being obsessed by the emotion of it."
Favourite movie soundtrack song
"I guess I’m really a product of the eighties! I remember working out to The Eye Of The Tiger and loving The Power Of Love from the Back To The Future movie. Right now, and as geeky as I am, I still love the original theme from Godzilla and the Star Wars theme song."
Favourite club anthem
"One of the tracks that I recently re-discovered and playing out a lot again is Showtek & Bassjackers - Hey. Instant rave energy and sits very well together with my track 1234."
Favourite song from your childhood
"PHD - I Won’t Let You Down. It’s funny though, this kind of eighties epicness has influenced a lot of the epicness you hear in EDM nowadays. It’s all power packages really."
Favourite song that no-one else has heard of
"One of few hidden gems I know is: Omar feat. Stevie Wonder - Feeling You (Henrik Schwarz remix). Taps right into a warmness and deepness that feels very genuine and next level to me."
Favourite song to hear at a wedding
"I actually karaoke sang Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are at my own wedding!"
Favourite novelty one-hit wonder
"There’s so many of them! Ha ha...Vanilla Ice - Ice Ice Baby"
Favourite lyric from a song
"Any track by Bob Marley really. I write lyrics too and the way he structured them has had a big influence on me."
Favourite song currently in the top 40
"John Newman - Love Me Again. It’s one of those that kept popping up which I thought I already knew from the start. Has some nice 90s piano feel for me in there as well."
Favourite song from your own music
"Might Just Be Natural Disaster featuring Example. That’s the kind of track where past and future came together to make something ultimate. But I always say the best is still to come!"
