Jazz musician George Melly once asked Mick Jagger why his face was so wrinkled.
“Those aren’t wrinkles,” said Mick, “they’re laughter lines.” Melly replied, “Nothing’s that funny.”
You can avoid similar (but probably less witty) clashes with Clinique’s new Repairwear laser focus wrinkle correcting eye cream (£28) – a moisturiser combating ‘smile lines’ around the eyes. But don’t bother telling Mick. It’s too late for him.
