Liam Gallagher has the absolute best advice for flying
Yes, it's yet another unmissable quote from Liam
As enjoyable as we’re finding his new music, it’s becoming increasingly clear that, really, Liam Gallagher’s chosen profession really should have been as stand-up comedian.
Witness this video, which went viral recently:
And witness any one of these 100 amazing quotes.
But he’s only gone and done it again, with this truly sensational guide to how he copes with the frequent flights that are part and parcel of life as a rock star.
As highlighted by The Week magazine, he was recently asked in an interview in The Daily Telegraph what he did to pass the time whilst flying replying:
“Don’t read. F*** reading.
“What do I do? I just sit there and stare out the window. Pure mind control, mate. I’m a zen c***, me. I don’t need to read a book to turn off. I don’t drink on a plane anymore either, ‘cause I just end up getting f***ing w***ered.
“Have a kip. Might watch the odd little film for half an hour, then I’m bored of that. So I just stare out the window, man. I can entertain myself in there [taps his temple].
“I just sit there like that and say to the missus, ‘Are we there yet?’ She’s like, ‘No, we’ve not taken off yet.’
Liam, of course, has something of a chequered history with flying, with his reference to ‘not drinking on planes anymore’.
Back in 1998 he was banned from flying on Cathay Pacific jets after allegedly abusing passengers and crew on a flight to Australia.
Travellers aboard the flight from Hong Kong to Perth complained that band members smoked, swore and threw objects at staff and other passengers - apparently the incident began with an argument over a scone.
Given he’s a ‘zen c**t’ these days though, he’d probably just let by-scones be by-scones.
