Picture yourself driving to the shops behind the wheel of an F1 car. A schoolboy dream, yes, but not exactly the easiest of feats. Where would you fit all the bags, for one?
One automotive manufacturer to clearly take this into consideration is Lotus, who are paying tribute to the company's F1 team by releasing a specially tinkered with Exige coupe.
Cloaked in the same Darth Vader black that makes the brand's F1 car so intimidating, this limited-edition Exige, limited to 81 units (one for each of the racing team’s 81 victories), also boasts similar matte gold wheels and unique badges that race-goers have become accustom to seeing in a blurry fashion across circuits worldwide.
They haven't skimped on the interior, either, weaving gold stitching into the black leather seats and, in case that wasn't enough, fitting a carbon-fiber plaque into the dashboard.
Prices start from £63,000, which includes a tour of Lotus’s F1 factory and a life-time discount on the brand’s accessories.
As for the pit crew, you'll probably have to buy that yourself.
