For those celebrating Pride in London next month, there’s a brand new gin to help get the party started.
The organisers behind the London Pride parade have created a limited-edition gin, that will be sold at bars throughout Soho and available to buy from Harvey Nichols and Gerry’s Wines & Spirits later this month.
“We’re incredibly excited to launch Pride Gin as the spirit of the Pride season and can’t wait to raise a glass with everyone at the parade next month,” said Kieron Yates, Pride in London’s deputy director of fundraising.
The creators have worked hard to make it a guilt-free experience: not only is the gin produced and bottled in the UK, cutting down on environmental transit costs, but everything about it can be recycled – including the label, which is made from sugar. And it’s for a good cause too, so you can feel good about yourself with the refreshment.
“Profits from each bottle or glass sold go back into keeping Pride in London free for everyone to attend, so supporting the community couldn’t be easier than getting your hands on a bottle and pouring yourself a G&T – or a rainbow cocktail,” Yates added.
But how does it taste? Well, it’s a juniper-led dry gin, which promises a “crisp, citrus finish” to pair well with Mediterranean-style tonics. It’ll set you back around £25 a bottle.
If that doesn’t sound appealing, there are alternatives. Be sure to check out our best gins list: there’s bound to be something to tempt you.
