Limited Edition Morgan Plus 8

The none-more-British car manufacturer Morgan is celebrating 100 years of manufacturing in style, with this fantastic special edition of the Plus 8 sports car.

There have been a few nice tweaks to the traditional design: the twin exhausts have been relocated to the side; there's new retro alloy wheels; a thinner windscreen and roll-over hoops. A few personalising options are also available, as the pictures show.

Under the bonnet, there's a 4.8-litre BMW V8 engine (367bhp and 370lb ft), with the 0-62mph time reduced by 0.3s from the standard model to 4.2s. Top speed is 148mph and there's a six-speed manual or automatic option.

They go on sale in June for the princely sum of £69,995 and - as always - will be completely hand-made. What better way to whizz about the great British countryside?
