No need to adjust your screen. The Lotus C-01 motorcycle you see before you isn’t fresh from some Manga novel, or a prop from your average sci-fi blockbuster - it’s a real prototype.
Mind you, given that the bike (Lotus’s first, with as yet no price or release date) is the brainchild of German concept designer Daniel Simon, whose vehicular visuals have appeared in everything from Tron: Legacy (those new light -cycles) and Oblivion (Tom Cruise’s titanium two-wheeler), those handsome futuristic looks should be of little surprise.
The body, a mix of carbon fibre, titanium and aerospace standard steel, packs a V-style 2-cylinder engine with 200 horsepower underneath, meaning there's more to this bike than looks alone. And should you want it sleeker still, the company’s special customisation firm will be allowing modifications by “the imagination of the client”.
A flux-capcitator wouldn’t be a bad start, would it?
