Watch: Louis Theroux’s Scientology documentary looks bizarre and brilliant

Only Louis Theroux could make an insanely good Scientology documentary without actually talking to any Scientologists.
After being fobbed off by the church for years, Louis decided instead to make a recreation of Scientology's darkest practices, as informed by the self-proclaimed former "baddest ass dude in Scientology", Marty Rathbun.
But of course, there's so much more than that.
The newly-released trailer shows old Lou being intimidated by various Scientologists, who trail, film, and question him in a segment. It looks to be a weird, wonderful, and mildly terrifying examination of the church.
The film is released in the UK on October 7, and there will be a live Q&A with Theroux at Royal Festival Hall on October 10.
