Been wondering what to do with that £301 burning a hole in your wallet? Well, you should probably put it in a bank - £301 is a significant amount of cash to be carrying around. Or, for a more creative outlet, you could give it to Lupe Fiasco in exchange for your very own song.
Earlier today, the Grammy-winning rapper took to Twitter to pedal his song-writing wares to the masses for $500 (£301):
He explained that usage of the song would be "strictly monitored via contract", forming a verse of a song:
Anyone hoping to have Lupe record a unique verse will have to head to Chicago with $500 in cash to collect their own copy - which means fans could also be buying themselves a chance to meet the man himself. An additional $500 will let you watch him record it in person.
Whether it's a publicity stunt to promote the single Next To It or a new, exhausting revenue stream for the rapper, it will be interesting to see if the personal songs will ever be shared with the wider public. It's not clear if requests are just being accepted via Twitter or whether a more official route will emerge.
Well, at least it's a more credible project than the guy who was going to make everyone a potato salad...
