You don't need to be strong in the Force to realise that the following words are ruin some major plot details of Star Wars: Episode VIII. Things could get a bit Dark Side, if you catch our drift.
Understood? Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational Mark Hamill quote...
On 2 March, the 64-year-old Star Wars legend appeared at the Oxford Union, addressing the assembled students of Oxford University on a diverse range of topics including Disney's new saga.
Students apparently drew comparisons between his depiction of Luke Skywalker in George Lucas' original saga and Daisy Ridley's Rey from The Force Awakens.
When asked about working with Ridley on Episode VIII (which began filming in February) and Luke's possible relationship with her character Rey, Hamill gave this response:
Daisy is incredible, so genuine, appealing, loveable, she beams, she has a wonderful charisma, I adore her. She’s my daughter’s age - and that’s how I relate to her.
THAT'S HOW I RELATE TO HER.
Following an educated gasp from the assembled students, Hamill proceeded to wink, adding: "I don’t mean anything by that. As actors that’s how I relate to that."
Of course you didn't, Mark. WINK. We know what you meant. NUDGE NUDGE.
So - Luke Skywalker could indeed be the father of Rey. Which means Episode VIII would explore Luke's shady past between setting up his own Jedi academy, watching it all fall apart after Ben Solo turns to the Dark Side, meeting Rey's mum and possibly watching her die as well? Or could Rey's mother be the next figure the young Jedi goes looking for?
And for the fact fans amongst you, Ridley (23) is actually five years younger than Hamill's daughter, Chelsea Hamill (28).
