Marvel and Netflix just released trailers for Luke Cage and Iron Fist
Future reasons to never leave the sofa
Go on, try and look away. We dare you.
Resistance to the first teasers for Marvel and Netflix’s Luke Cage and Iron First - AKA the next shows destined to ruin your social life and soften your sofa grooves - is futile.
Any worries Marvel fans previously had about the streaming service bringing some of its most successful characters to the smaller screen have been roundly put to bed thanks to the runaway success of Daredevil, and thanks to Jessica Jones, they should already know what they're getting from Mike Coulter’s Luke Cage.
He being the hero with the unbreakable skin, a skill-set which despite sounding like a condom marketing tagline should make for a fine action spectacle come September when the show airs.
And then there’s Iron Fist, slated for 2017. It stars Game of Thrones’ Finn Jones as Danny Rand, a man who inherits mysterious powers (they’re always mysterious aren’t they?) and fights relentlessly to regain everything he's lost.
Cue major landmarks, muscle flexing and moral dilemmas.
