With a new Star Wars-inspired range, London’s Blood Brother could be your new favourite label...
The list of UK exports to fail at cracking the US is as long as it is unjust (Peep Show, anyone?), so some cap-doffing has to go to east London’s Blood Brother, a contemporary menswear label earning rave reviews from our transatlantic cousins.
Formed in 2011 by fashion graduates James Waller and Nick Biela, the label’s high-end, urban-friendly designs were also promptly snapped up by UK retail titans Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
What’s more, its autumn/winter 2013 range was even influenced by Star Wars – taking after the franchise’s stirringly rugged and durable aesthetic, rather than Vader-style capes and Stormtrooper helmets.
Our favourite is the Alpha leather jacket (pictured, £350). Trust us, its spring/summer 2014 collection, entitled This Is Hardcore, is set to be just as unmissable.
