Although he suffered a slight misstep in the shape of this year's overcooked Kate Winslet melodrama Labor Day, writer/director Jason Reitman had steadily built up an impressive career out of sharing his sardonic vision of America with us.
He's the man behind Thank You For Smoking, Juno, Up In The Air and the hugely underrated Young Adult and his latest looks like it will fit nicely alongside them.
It's called Men, Women & Children and it's a darkly funny ensemble drama based on the book by Chad Kultgen. It focuses on a small town and the sex lives of its various inhabitants, all affected by technology.
The cast includes a hopefully restrained Adam Sandler, Emma Thompson, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jennifer Garner and Breaking Bad's Dean Norris.
The first trailer has just hit and it's intriguingly secretive. The film is being pushed out as a major awards contender so keep an eye out.
Men, Women & Children hits cinemas later this year
