Not exactly averse to the odd music video, Michel Gondry made his name working with The White Stripes, Daft Punk and Beck before he swaggered off to master the art of cinema to boot.
But he’s back, and, in turn, so are Metronomy, who have snared the Oscar winner for directing duties on the titular single of forthcoming album Love Letters (10 March). The playful video, which is unmistakeably Gondry, is now live and you can watch it below.
And should you want to hear how the electro rockers’ collaboration with Gondry came about, Joe Mount and Gondry himself will be appearing on a Google Hangout hosted by Adam Buxton on Youtube tomorrow - the first of its kind as questions can be submitted by writing comments underneath the video with the hashtag #loveletters.
Note: actual love letters will be frowned upon.
