"Well, it's not really the original Avengers in the films..." was probably the opening to a very tedious conversation you and a comic obsessed friend had back in 2012.
They will have gone into great depth into the various guises that Marvel's band has adopted since September 1963, while you glazed over and wondered what drink to order next. Things would have been so much easier for everyone involved if they had one of these to hand.
This vast compendium is the latest work of the poster masters of Pop Chart Lab - a full visual guide to every line-up of Marvel's Avengers comic, on which the cinematic universe draws some inspiration from. From Issue One in September 1963 all the way through the "final" chapter in April 2015 (some 583 issues in all), this chart of champions visually tracks every (official) iteration via 82 hand-drawn, heroic head icons.
Available via the online Pop Chart Lab store for £23 (plus postage), best make some room on your living room wall. (You'll have to have eyesight on a par with a superhero to make out the text, but you should be able to recognise the heroes from their masks).
