Mini unveils special Olympic model

Looking for a stylish way to celebrate the London Olympics? Or perhaps you’re simply wanting to re-create The Italian Job in your local car park?

Either way, these special editions from Mini’s iconic stable will be of interest. Available in three patriotic shades — Chilli Red, White Silver (right) and Lightning Blue — the London 2012 model will be released early next year, and it’s packed with British pride.

You’ll find union-flag piping on the headrests and an Olympic logo on the roof, and, most impressively, the dashboard boasts a silhouette of the capital’s skyline running across it.

Only 2,012 will be made, with prices starting at £17,800, so if Blu-Tacking a British flag to your bumper doesn’t adequately represent your passion for Team GB, you should reserve your model now.
