If you have a sibling, your relationship has probably developed and changed a lot over time.
When you’re young, you are either best mates or at each other’s throats - and this can change by the minute - but if you’re lucky, once you’re both grown up, you feel like true friends - your brothers and sisters are people you spend time with by choice, not just because you happen to live in the same house.
However, that sibling rivalry never quite goes away. One is always better looking. One is always smarter. One is always funnier. Hopefully they aren’t all the same sibling…
For Katina Behm, a mum with an 18-month old son named Augie, her younger brother - Aristotle Polites - is a male model, which means he’s certainly not lacking in the looks department.
And what’s the best way to deal with having a model as a little brother? To mercilessly mock him for it, of course (albeit in a very fun and light-hearted way).
One day, Katina was dressing Augie when he got his plaid shirt stuck over his head. She found the picture funny, and immediately had a bright idea.
“The image of him with the shirt undone and his bare chest exposed made me laugh because he looked like he belonged on the cover of a romance novel,” she told HuffPost. “I took a picture and then realised I bet my brother Aris has a picture just like this on his Instagram page which is filled with modeling photos.”
Indeed, she found one by photographer Royce Bugarin that was almost identical, sent the two pictures to her family asking ‘Who wore it better?’ and like that, a joke was born.
Katina set up the Instagram page @babyandthebody, where for every modelling photo Aris takes, she posts a corresponding picture of Augie.
It is - undeniably - pretty adorable.
The account has really grown in popularity over the last couple of weeks, with people obviously buying into the golden combo of cute baby pictures and the harmless ribbing of a sibling.
Aris takes the joke well - whenever his sister uploads a pic to her Instagram, he uploads the same one, asking his followers to vote on who they think rocks the look better.
Unsurprisingly, little Augie normally claims the win.
Sorry Aris, but if it’s any consolation, at least you’re getting paid for your work. Augie’s working for free right now - although at least he’ll have a huge back catalogue to draw on if he ever decides to follow in his uncle’s footsteps when he grows up.
